Шустер и Луковский Dear Sir/Madam:
I hope that my letter will find you in good health. The purpose of my letter

names were Joseph and Eva. My great grandparents names were Shmuel (Samuel)
and Sipa (Sephora). Shmuel and Sipa came from Ukraine from small city called
Ostropol of Khmelnitsky oblast (gubernia). Some young man Fridel Shuster
together with his mother left Ostropol before World War II. He was last
Shuster who lived in Ostropol. I do not know if they were my relatives.
At least, he could put light on the history of my family. My grandfather
Iosif Shmuelovich had one brother and four sisters. Oldest was Abraham.
I do not have any information about him. Next was my grandfather Iosif.
After him sisters Dora, Lubov, Basya, and Fanny. Dora’s husband’s name
was Kulisher. She had two sons George and Leonid and daughter Sophia. Lubov’s
husband’s name was Lukovsky. She had a son named David who was a journalist,

to the USA in the beginning of the century. Her husband’s name was Meyerson.
She had one daughter Siel. The following is the information about their
husbands. Dora’s husband was Alexander Ruvimovic Kulisher who died in 1948.
He was great mathematician, Professor and head of Semenov Institute of
Mathematics and Mechanics at Leningrad. Lubov’s husband was Yakov Lukovsky,
he was a brilliant medical doctor also in Leningrad. He died in 1953. Basya’s
second husband’s name was Sheinfeld, who was separated with Basya and came
to the USA alone. Fanny’s husband was David Meyerson who came from Ostropol
to the USA where they got married. The following are the questions for
you, Mr./Mrs. Shuster:
1.Have your relatives lived in Ostropol of Khmelnitsky Oblast of Ukraine, or in Staro Kanstantinov city
of Volinsky Oblast?
